Heat and steam
A proposal should distinguish room heating from targeted steam work. Ask which items and spaces are covered, how hard-to-reach areas are addressed, and whether additional methods are part of the plan. Read our heat-treatment guide for questions to ask.
Pesticide-based plans
Ask the provider to explain the products, applications, follow-up visits, and any instructions affecting occupants or pets. EPA recommends using registered products according to their labels and checking that bed bugs are listed. Do not assume a product is appropriate because it is described as natural.
Other specialized options
If a company proposes fumigation, freezing, or another specialized method, request a clear explanation of access restrictions, preparation, scope, and follow-up. We do not rank one approach as the best choice for every property.
Include follow-up in the comparison
Ask how the provider will respond if activity continues. Cimex K9 offers post-treatment inspections only after a complete treatment by a licensed pest-control professional, with scheduling 30–60 days after treatment. We do not perform post-treatment inspections following self-treatment. Before booking, tell us the treatment completion date, provider, methods, and products used. We must confirm eligibility and timing for your property; reaching day 30 or day 60 does not automatically make it eligible. Our findings can support your discussion with the treatment company; they do not replace its warranty.
